Lady Gaga continues to expand the scope of her North American tour, nearly doubling the length of the Monster Ball Tour's early 2011 leg.

It was announced in early May, the singer-songwriter's early year itinerary held just eight dates. Now the 2011 jaunt has extended to nearly 20 concerts, beginning with a February 19 show at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, and ending with an April 18 event at Gwinnett Center in Atlanta, GA.

New Monster Ball concerts, added late last week, include an extended February 21-22 run at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, as well as shows on February 24 at Verizon Center in Washington, DC; March 14 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX; and March 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Public ticket sales begin May 26 for Gaga's newest concert dates in Washington, DC, Dallas and Los Angeles. Ticket prices for the two earlier dates range from $52.50 to $178, while prices in LA are set from $51.25 to $181.50, according to current listings on Ticketmaster.com.

Lady Gaga extended her Monster Ball Tour into the New Year due to the large number of sold-out concerts on her summer 2010 calendar. And the expansion isn't complete yet, according to the artist's official Web site, which notes that additional cities and venues will be announced in the near future.
